I just made this up for dinner the other night and my family LOVED it! It's an extremely cheap and easy family meal!

Ingredients For shepherd's pie

  • 6 c
    prepared mashed potatoes
  • 1 can
    beef broth, thickened
  • 2 lb
    ground deer or other ground meat
  • 1 Tbsp
    onion salt
  • 1 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp
    cracked black pepper
  • 1 can
    whole kernel corn
  • 1 can
    mixed vegetables

How To Make shepherd's pie

    Preheat oven to 350F.
  • 2
    Spread potatoes into a greased 9x13 baking dish.(Push the sides up a bit to hold the filling.)

    Crumble and fry meat with spices and spread over potatoes.

    In a large saucepan, heat thickened beef broth and veggies and pour over meat and potatoes.

    Bake for 30 minutes and serve hot with your favorite bread. Enjoy!
