    vegetable oil or ghee

    carrots, thinly sliced

    onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp

    ground black pepper

    ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground turmeric

    head cabbage, shredded

    red potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 inch pieces

How To Make sauteed cabbage and potatoes ethiopian-style

    In a medium skillet, heat the oil or ghee over medium heat. Add the onion and carrots and saute in oil for approx. 5 minutes.

    Add seasonings and cabbage and cook another 15 - 20 minutes.

    Stir in red potatoes; cover and cook over medium-low for 15-20 minutes longer or until potatoes are tender.
