1 cred lentils rinsed

4 csalted water

1 Tbspolive oil

1 smonion chopped

1/2 tspeach coriander, cumin, and tumeric

How To Make red lentil dal

1Combine the lentils and salted water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and reduce to low and simmer for about 20 minutes or until the lentils are very soft.

2Meanwhile add the oil to a pan. Add the onion, garlic, ginger, and green chilies and saute until softened. Stir in the spices and brown sugar.

3Add the tomatoes and lentils and simmer for 10 minutes. Serve over rice and garnish with cilantro. Serve with naan
