quinoa & chick peas

My mom gave me a big bag of quinoa in January, I just started to tackle it. I saved several recipes from fellow cooks here. I concocted this the other night, I think it is a very basic & flexible recipe, kind of a what do I have in the house or what do I feel like throwing in kind of thing :) Have fun & enjoy! My next one will be with small red beans & onions.

Ingredients For quinoa & chick peas

  • 1/2 c
    quinoa, dry
  • 1 c
    water or broth
  • 3 - 4 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 can
    chick peas, drained
  • 1 tsp
    olive oil

How To Make quinoa & chick peas

  • 1
    Bring water or broth to a boil, add quinoa and garlic. Lower to a simmer, cook for about 25 minutes until quinoa is nice & fluffy.

    Add chick peas and olive oil, mix & serve.
