i have made this several times and even double it for large crowds. When you can't have fresh pierogis, this casserole does the trick.

Ingredients For pierogi casserole

  • 2 pkg
    frozen pierogis (16 oz each)
  • 1/2 lb
    bacon, cooked & crumbled
  • 1 pkg
    cream cheese
  • 1 c
    chicken broth
  • 1 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 lg
    green onions, chopped

How To Make pierogi casserole

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 400 F. Lightly spray a 9 x 13" casserole dish. Arrange frozen pierogis in dish.

    In a saucepan, combine cream cheese and chicken broth. Stir frequently until cheese is melted. Pour cream cheese mixture evenly over pierogis. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.

    Bake for 30 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve with sprinkled green onions.
