Nana used to make this for us all the time growing up, we had to make due with what we could around the farm, and this flower-based meal was enough to provide our growing bodies with the nutrients they needed.

How To Make nana's lion lillie pick-me-up

1There are some lovely lion lilies that grow in the nearby field behind our farm, they taste delicious, but make sure to hard compress them if you are picking them fresh in order to get all the oil out. Store bought should come with the oil in a separate pouch, or so I'm told.

2Take your mortar and pestle, and grind the compressed lilies into your bowl, slowly pouring in the savory mix.

3Sprinkle chives on finished product, Leave some of the leaves unground for added taste. Pour oil into bowl to provide a nice curry-like paste, with none of the curry taste!
