Ingredients For mushroom toast

4 slicethick sour dough bread

olive oil

3 Tbspbutter

1/2 lbbutton mushrooms, sliced

1 smshallot, minced

2 tspfresh thyme
-
salt and pepper

2 clovegarlic, minced

3 tspwhite wine
-
3 Tbspheavy cream
-
fresh parsley, minced
How To Make mushroom toast

1Preheat oven 350 degrees F. Brush the bread with a little olive oil and season with salt. Place the bread in the oven to get the ends crispy and toasted a bit.

2Add the butter to a saute pan. Add the mushrooms, shallots and thyme and cook until mushrooms have given up their moisture. Season with salt and pepper. Add the garlic and cook 1 minute. Add the white wine and let most evaporate.

3Add the heavy cream and cook for a minute or two. Taste and adjust seasoning. Spoon over toast and top with parsley.
