Ingredients For mushroom stroganoff over cooked cabbage

  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 lg
    onion chopped
  • 4 clove
    garlic minced
  • 3 c
    sliced mushrooms
  • 1 Tbsp
    smoked papriika
  • 1 Tbsp
    mushrooom ketchup or worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1 c
    white wine
  • 1/4 c
    heavy cream
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream at room temp
  • 1/2
    head of cabbage shredded
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • salt

How To Make mushroom stroganoff over cooked cabbage

    In a skillet add the oil and butter and let it melt. Add the onion, garlic and mushrooms and cook until mushrooms have given up their moisture. Stir in the paprika and flour.

    Slowly add the white wine, and mushroom ketchup. Stir until no lumps are left from the flour. Add the heavy cream. Cook 5 minutes

    Stir in the sour cream. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add some salt. Add the cabbage and cook until the cabbage is softened.

    Drain the cabbage and stir in the butter. Serve the mushroom stroganoff over the cabbage
