You can throw on whatever type of meats and veggies you like. My kids like the pepperoni ground beef and Italian sausage with some olives and mushrooms... you get the point. Ham works well too.

Tailor this hearty mock pizza casserole with your favorite pizza toppings. Between the pasta and ground beef, it's a filling casserole. Fresh veggies add another layer of flavor and texture. Gooey cheese holds the casserole together and adds to the pizza flavor. We added ground beef, bell peppers, mushrooms, ham, and pepperoni to this easy casserole. Add whatever meat and seasonings to your liking.

Ingredients For mock pizza casserole

  • 16 oz
    bowtie pasta
  • 2 lb
    meat, your choice - ground beef, Italian sausage, ham, pepperoni
  • 48 oz
    spaghetti sauce
  • veggies, your choice - green pepper, onion, olives, mushrooms, spinach, etc
  • 24 + oz
    mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 c
    Parmesan cheese

If you have a lasagna pan, we recommend using that since it's deeper and can easily hold all ingredients.
  • Boil noodles to al dente.

    Boil noodles to al dente. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Brown ground beef.

    Cook all meats except for pepperoni.
  • Add some of the pasta and spaghetti sauce to a baking dish.

    In a greased 9x13 baking dish, place 1/3 of the pasta on the bottom of the dish. Top with 1/3 of the spaghetti sauce.
  • Top with some of the ground beef and cheese.

    On top of the sauce, add 1/3 of the cheese and the ground meat.
  • Add 1/3 of veggies.

    Add 1/3 of your veggies in the next layer.
  • Add another layer of pasta, sauce, meat, and cheese.

    Next, add another 1/3 of the pasta and sauce. Then add your second meat. Top that with another 1/3 of the cheese.
  • Add the last of the pasta, sauce, and cheese.

  • Bake for 40 minutes.
