If you are pressed for time but not on hunger then this recipe is for you. Sticks to your ribs but easy on the pocketbook. This will satisfy your want for Mexican food.

Ingredients For mexi-chili

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 3 tsp
    dried onion
  • 2 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    pepper
  • 3 oz
    tomato sauce
  • 1 can
    ranch style beans, drained rotel tomatoes, chopped green chilies, fire roasted salsa style tomatoes
  • 1/8 c
    self rising cornmeal mix

How To Make mexi-chili

    Brown ground beef and drain.
  • 2
    Add dried onion and seasonings, stir well.
  • 3
    Add all vegetables and tomatoes sauce. Simmer 20 minutes.

    Sprinkle sr cornmeal over meat and stir to thicken about 2 to 3 minutes. Turn burner off.

    Sprinkle 2 handfuls of Mexican blend shredded cheese and cover with lid to melt. Once cheese is melted serve.

    Perfectly accompanied with cornbread or tortilla chips.
