I was given this recipe by a co-worker that had gotten it in a restaurant in Georgia. He and his wife loved it and asked for the recipe, and they actually gave it to him. Anyway, it is the favorite of my son-in-law in our family. Enjoy!

Ingredients For hash brown casserole

  • 1 lb
    jimmy dean hot sausage (browned & drained
  • 1 md
    onion (chopped and browned w/sausage
  • 2 c
    shredded cheddar cheese (we like sharp)
  • 1 can
    cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can
    cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 30 oz
    bag of frozen shredded hash browns
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make hash brown casserole

    Brown sausage and onions together and drain.
  • 2
    Combine all ingredients, and mix well. Pour mixture into a grease 9x13 baking dish. Cover with cheddar cheese.

    Bake at 350 for approx 1 hour or until golden brown.
