1knob fresh ginger, peeled and sliced

1 Tbspcreole seasoning

3 lbbone-in fresh chicken thighs

4 Tbspbarbecue seasoning

1 Tbspblack pepper

1 tspground cumin

4 tspground ginger, divided

2 cregular barbecue sauce

3 Tbsphoney mustard

2 Tbspdark brown sugar
How To Make ginger oven baked barbecue chicken thighs

1Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Coat with cooking spray.

2Fill a large pot with water over medium heat. Add sliced ginger and season with creole seasoning. Stir together until combined.

3Place chicken thighs in a pot with prepared boiling water and bring to a boil, about 5 minutes until the chicken thighs are no longer pink. Drain well.

4Place chicken in a large bowl. Combine barbecue seasoning, black pepper, ground cumin, and 2 tablespoons ground ginger in a bowl; mix together until blended. Toss with the chicken.

5Transfer onto a prepared baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes.

6In a medium bowl, combine barbecue sauce, honey mustard, brown sugar and remaining ground ginger; whisk well.

7Take the chicken thighs out of the oven. Baste the sauce all over the chicken thighs. Return to the oven for 10 minutes.
