Ingredients For georgina's mom's green chile casserole

  • 1 pkg
    corn tortillas (more if you want more)
  • 1 lg
    can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 lb
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 1/2 lb
    chicken, cooked and shredded
  • 4 can
    green chile (i used whole and cut into slices)...use fresh if you can
  • 1 md
    onion, diced
  • 1 Tbsp
    tony chachere's seasoning or cholula or tabasco or both

How To Make georgina's mom's green chile casserole

    Get the ingredients together.

    Oil the bottom and sides of a 9x11 glass dish. Place a layer of yellow corn tortillas on the bottom of the dish.

    Mix the seasonings with the cream of chicken soup

    Top the tortillas with some of the seasoned cream of chicken soup.

    Top with some of the shredded chicken.
  • 6
    Top with a little diced onion, chile, then cheese and another layer of corn tortillas. Repeat these layers ending with cheese.

    Cover and bake at 375F for 45 minutes or until bubbly.
