Ingredients For fèves au lard (baked beans)

1 lbdried navy beans soaked overnight

5 ccold water
-
1/2 lbsalted pork belly cut into 1" pieces (can substitute thick bacon)

1onion chopped

2 tspcider vinegar
-
1/2 cketchup
-
1/2 cdark molasses
-
1/4 cmaple syrup
-
1 tspdry mustard
-
1 tspsalt
How To Make fèves au lard (baked beans)

1Strain and rinse the beans.

2Add the beans to a pot with 5 cups of water.

3Boil for thirty minutes

4Transfer the beans and water to an ovenproof casserole
-
5Stir in the remaining ingredients. Cover and bake in a 250ºF oven for 7-8 hours.
