Ingredients For easy pepper steak

2 lbboneless sirloin steak, sliced thinly across the grain

2 Tbspoil

2green bell peppers, thinly sliced

1 pkgonion soup mix

2 Tbspsoy sauce
-
1/2 csherry
-
2 Tbspcornstarch
-
1/2 tspsalt

1/8 tsppepper
-
2 cwater

3tomatoes, cut into wedges
How To Make easy pepper steak

1Place steak in freezer for 30 minutes. Remove and slice 1/4 inch thick slices, lengthwise. and then into 1 inch pieces.

2On medium high heat, brown in oil in large skillet, fry steak 2-3 minutes, just enough for it to change color. Remove meat and saute the green pepper on medium heat. Remove green pepper.

3Add 2 cups water and bring to a boil. Add onion soup mix and continue to boil for 10 minutes. Stir in the meat and green pepper and simmer for 30 minutes.

4Mix the soy sauce, sherry, cornstarch diluted with 2 tbsp. water, salt and pepper in a bowl. Add to large skillet. Cook until slightly thickened, about 2 to 3 minutes. Add tomatoes; stir gently. Cover and simmer, just until tomatoes are hot, about 3 minutes.
