Ingredients For core sound style clam bake

80top-nick or 48 cherry clams (in shell)

8fryer-sized chicken quarters

8 mdwhite potatoes, unpeeled

8 mdsweet potatoes

8 mdsweet onions

8 lgwhole carrots
-
8ears of corn
-
3 lbshrimp, unpeeled (add last 15-20 minutes of cooking time)

salt and pepper
How To Make core sound style clam bake

1Wash and scrub clams thoroughly with a stiff brush. Place in a large steamer pot (16-20 quart). Layer other ingredients on top of clams - in order given. Add approximately 1 1/2 inches of water in bottom portion of steamer pot.

2Allow a good steam to start, then cook on medium-low heat 2-3 hours or until done. Cooking time may vary.

3May increase or decrease any or all of the ingredients depending on the number of people you are serving and the size of the pot. Be sure there is always enough liquid in the pot to provide a good steam

4Serve with crackers, vinegar, melted butter, or any sauce you desire.
