Ingredients For caribbean sweet potato and bean stew[crockpot]

2 mdsweet potatoes[yams]about 1 pound,peeled and cut into 1 inch cubes

2 cfrozen cut green beans
-
1 can[15 ounce]black beans,rinsed and drained
-
1 canvegetable broth [14 1/2 ounce size]
-
1 smonion sliced
-
2 tspcaribbean jerk seasoning
-
1/2 tspdried thyme
-
1/4 tspground cinnamon
-
salt & pepper to taste
-
1/3 cslivered almonds toasted
-
hot pepper sauce [optional]
How To Make caribbean sweet potato and bean stew[crockpot]

1Combine sweet potatoes,beans,broth,onions,jerk seasoning,,thyme salt and cinnamon .

2Cover and cook on LOW HEAT about 5 hours,until veggies are tender.

3Adjust seasonings;SPRINKLE WITH ALMONDS[toasted] TOAST ALMONDS:spread in a single layer in a heavy-bottomed skillet,cook over medium heat 1-2 minutes,stirring FREQUENTLY ,until the nuts are lightly browned.REMOVE FROM SKILLET IMMEDIATELY.COOL before using.
