My nana used to make these once a week and there was not one left and she doubled it.

Ingredients For cabbage rolls

1 lgcabbage

1 lblean ground beef or turkey/chicken

1onion peeled and grated

1/2 crice (uncooked)

1/2 cwater
-
1egg
-
1/4 csugar
-
1 Tbsplemon juice
-
1tin 28 oz. tomatoes
How To Make cabbage rolls

1Remove core from cabbage and set into boiling water for 15 minutes to loosens leaves.

2Mix together meat, onion, rice, water, egg and sugar. Mix well.

3Remove leaves from cabbage. Put meat mixture in center of each leaf. Roll up and secure with a toothpick.

4Put into a large pan and cover with tomatoes and lemon juice.

5Simmer for 2 hours adding more tomato juice or tomatoes if needed. Cook at 350
