One of my favorites sandwiches actually comes from a neighbor. And she actually wrote down the recipe in the winter months! But I cook it several times during the summer, too.

Ingredients For beef stroganoff sandwich

  • 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 c
    onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 md
    french bread loaf,cut in half length wise and buttered
  • 2 c
    sour cream
  • 2
    medium sized tomatoes,chopped into bite sized pieces
  • 2
    green pepper,chopped into bite sized pieces
  • 3 c
    of mixed shredded cheese (your choice)

How To Make beef stroganoff sandwich

  • 1
    Brown the ground beef and onion in a large skillet. Add salt and garlic powder. Remove the meat mixture from the heat after it is cooked thoroughly and add the sour cream. Blend well. Lay the bread onto a baking sheet and top both halves with the meat mixture. Sprinkle the tomato and green pepper on top of the meat mixture. Top with cheese. Bake at in a preheated oven at 350F for about20 minutes or until cheese is melted and gooey.
