Ingredients For barbecued venison ribs

2.5 cwater
-
6 lbvenison ribs with some loin meat attached

1/2 tspsalt
-
2 Tbspchili powder
-
2 mdonions, diced
-
1/2 cbrown sugar
-
1/2 cmaple syrup
-
1/2 cworcestershire sauce
-
1/4 clemon juice
-
1 Tbspwhite vinegar
-
3 cketchup
-
freshly ground black pepper to taste
How To Make barbecued venison ribs

1In large bowl, combine all ingredients except ribs and pepper.

2Blend well.

3Sprinkle ribs with pepper and additional salt.

4Place in 5 quart roasting pan in double layer.

5Roast 1 hour.

6Pour sauce over ribs.

7Increase heat to 350 degrees and bake until ribs just begin to char on top, about 1 1/2 hours.

8Turn ribs over, cover pan and bake about 30 minutes longer, until ribs are tender and sauce is thick.

9To serve, place ribs on serving platter.

10Pour sauce over ribs.

11Note: If venison is a little gamey tasting, increase vinegar in sauce to 3 tablespoons.

12Taste sauce after mixing and add additional brown sugar to taste, about 1/2 cup.

13Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
