Ingredients For barbecued lamb shanks

4lamb shanks

2 Tbspvegetable oil

2onions, sliced

3/4 cketchup

1 1/2 cwater

2 tspsalt

1 Tbspworcestershire sauce

1/2 ccider vinegar

1/4 cbrown sugar, firmly packed

1 tspprepared mustard

dashcayenne
How To Make barbecued lamb shanks

1Brown the shanks in oil in a heavy pot or dutch oven. Pour off fat. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer for about 2 hours, spooning some of the sauce over the meat several times during the cooking. If desired, shanks can be baked, covered, in the oven (350) for about 2 hours.
