baked beans and franks

My Mother-in-Law back in the 60's gave this recipe to me and she made them often; I have too over the years. Easy and delicious! I think you will like them also! Let me know! I am from Maine originally and I 'always' used small pea B&M beans. Yum! Experiment with different kinds-you won't be disappointed.

Ingredients For baked beans and franks

  • 1 can
    baked beans, 15 oz., your choice
  • 4 - 5
    hotdogs (franks), amount depending, sliced
  • 3 Tbsp
    catsup
  • 1 md
    onion, chopped finely
  • 3 Tbsp
    molasses

How To Make baked beans and franks

  • 1
    Add beans to a 1 or 2 quart casserole dish along with sliced franks.

    Add 3 Tablespoons catsup; 1 medium onion, finely chopped and 3 Tablespoons molasses to beans. Use light or dark molasses, your preference.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. *For more servings double recipe! Simple yet really delicious!
