I love asparagus, and this is one great way to use it. It combined with the ham, and the accent of the mustard in the recipe made it a hit with my family.

Ingredients For asparagus-ham custard

1 lbasparagus, cut in one inch pieces

6 lgeggs

3/4 cmilk

2 Tbspprepared mustard

1 tspdry mustard

1/4 cchopped onion

2 cdiced cooked ham
-
2 cgrated swiss cheese
How To Make asparagus-ham custard

1Preheat oven to 400 degrees Steam asparagus pieces until just tender crisp. Drain and set aside. (Drained canned asparagus can be substituted for fresh)

2Beat eggs until light in color. Add milk. Blend in mustards, mixing well

3Stir in onion, ham and cheese until well combined. Gently fold in asparagus

4Pour mixture into a greased 8 inch square baking dish. Garnish with 5 asparagus tips and sprinkling of ham in the center

5Bake for 30-35 mins or until knife inserted in center comes clean
