I decided to try to put this recipe together after I left high school in the sixties. Used to have this served to us for our school lunch. It was my favorite. I missed it so much.

How To Make american pizza
-
1Make the pizza crust by mixing it pr. instuctions on the Chef Boyardee pizza box. Set dough aside and allow to rise while you brown the ground beef. After the ground beef is cooked, mix in the sauce from the pizza mix and some of the jar of pizza sauce until the ground beef is covered but not soupy. set this mixture aside to cool. Press the pizza dough into a 9x13 pan using some of the oil to coat your hands so it spreads easily into the pan. I have used a two pizza mix before and the dough is thicker and spreads easier into the corners of the pan. it all depends if you like a thick or thin crust. after the dough is in the pan place it in the oven and bake at temperature recommended for 1/2 the baking time. Remove and put the ground beef mixture over the crust. Cover the ground beef with the cheese mixture included with the pizza mix. Cover that with as many slices of American cheese as it takes to completly cover the top. Cover the pan with a layer of tin foil and return to oven at 250 degrees for all but 5 minutes of the remaining baking time. Before the last 5 minutes take the pan out, remove the tin foil, add green or black olives to taste on the top of the melted cheese, and put back into the oven for the last 5 minutes at 350 degrees. Cheese should be slightly browned and completly melted. Alow to cool for ten minutes and serve. It has been awhile since I made this. Make sure you either purchase a 2 pizza mix or buy 2 boxes. If you have two cans of sauce you will not need to buy any other sauce than what comes with the mix unless you prefer a soupier mixture or a different sauce. That too will be a matter of taste.
