I love to eat light when it's hot. This is a meal I like to make that pleases my husband whose a heavy eater. You can make this with no meat,just beans,beef,chicken,turkey,shrimp or fish. It's all good!

Ingredients For pat's taco salad bowls

1 lb ground turkey

1 t. olive oil

1 package tortilla bowls
- TACO SEASONING
-
1/4 t. cumin
-
1 t. paprika
-
2 t. ground garlic
-
1 t. salt
-
1 t. black pepper
-
1/4 t. cayenne
-
3/4 c water
- TOPPINGS
-
pinto or black beans,shredded lettuce,fresh cilantro, diced tomatoes, sliced green onions,pickled jalapeno,grated cheddar& jack cheese,salsa, guacamole and sour cream
How To Make pat's taco salad bowls

1In skillet combine turkey, oil, and seasonings. Brown turkey. Add water. Simmer over medium heat until meat is fully cooked and water has cooked out of mixture. Bake tortilla bowls until golden, about 6 minutes. Heat beans. Divide evenly in bottom of each tortilla bowl. Toss lettuce, cilantro, green onions and tomato. Place a layer of lettuce mixture over beans. Next, add a layer of turkey mixture and top with cheese. Top with salsa, guacamole and sour cream.
