Just like the enchilada sauce, canned refried beans gave my family upset stomach and gas! So, I played with some pinto's and made my own!

Ingredients For homemade crockpot refried beans

3 cdry pinto beans (rinsed)

4 cwater
-
5 cchicken broth
-
1 mdonion diced
-
2 Tbspcrushed garlic

salt & pepper to taste

1/4 cenchilada sauce

1 cgrated cheddar cheese
How To Make homemade crockpot refried beans

1Place rinsed pinto beans, diced onion, garlic in crockpot with 5 cups chicken broth. cook on high for 8-9 hours. you'll have to add your 4 cups water durring cooking. drain beans, reserving liquid. Place beans in mixer and add 1 cup reserved liquid. Add enchilada sauce until reach desired consistency. Place back in crockpot cover with grates cheese on low or warm setting until time to serve.
