Well, I didn't have a can of enchilada sauce so I had to make my own!! It turned out VERY tasty!!!! It was perfect with the tamale pie I made with it!!!

Ingredients For enchilada sauce

2 Tbspcanola oil

2 Tbspflour

2 Tbspchili powder

1/2 Tbspcumin

1/4 tspground cayenne

1 15 ounce cantomato sauce

1 Tbspgarlic powder
-
1/2 tsponion powder

1/2 tspkosher salt
-
3/4 cchicken stock (canned or box)
How To Make enchilada sauce

1Heat oil in skillet, add flour and stir over medium heat until flour just starts to brown and smells nutty.

2Add tomato sauce and stir.

3Mix in all of the spices.

4Add chicken stock to sauce to thin to desired thickness and heat on low for 20 minutes, stirring frequently.

5Add more chicken stock as needed for consistency. Use for whatever recipe you would like!
