Ingredients For chile macho (green chile sauce)

  • 4 c
    chicken broth
  • 2 c
    roasted green chiles (anaheim)
  • 5
    tomatillos
  • 2 tsp
    minced onion
  • 1 tsp
    dried mexican oregano
  • 1
    garlic clove
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    white pepper
  • 2 tsp
    corn starch disolved in 2 tbs water

How To Make chile macho (green chile sauce)

    Boil tomatillos until squishy. Puree in blender.

    Combine all ingredients except the corn starch in a large saucepan.

    Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Add cornstarch and mix well.

    Cook for another 5-10 minutes until well thickened. Serve as enchilada sauce.
