I created this recipe with sharp and extra sharp cheddar cheeses. It's a great side dish to mac and cheese.

Ingredients For double sharp cheddar meatloaf

1 Tbspolive oil

1 lgvidalia sweet onion, peeled and sliced

1 Tbspsea salt mixed with black pepper

1/2 cgrated Parmesan cheese

2 cshredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided

2 lbground chuck
-
2egg whites
-
3/4 cpanko bread crumbs
-
4 Tbspprocessed cheese sauce, divided

2 Tbspsteak seasoning
-
1 cshredded extra sharp cheddar cheese
How To Make double sharp cheddar meatloaf

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced vidalia onion and saute for 5 minutes or until completely tender.

3Remove from the heat and season with sea salt/black pepper and Parmesan cheese. Stir in 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese. Set aside.

4In a large bowl, combine the ground chuck, egg whites, bread crumbs, 2 tablespoons cheese sauce and steak seasoning; mix well. Add the shredded extra cheddar cheese.

5Press half of the meat mixture into a 9x5-inch loaf pan. Add the sauteed onion mixture and remaining cheese sauce. Spoon the remaining meat mixture on top. Sprinkle with remaining sharp cheddar cheese and press it down.

6Bake for 30 minutes or until the cheeses are melted. Cool completely.
