meatloaf
I have never gotten into microwave cooking. They're fantastic - vital actually - for reheating. But cooking? Eh. The other night though I had meatloaf on the menu and almost gave up on it because the idea of turning on the oven for an hour was too much to bear! In the end I decided what the heck...how bad can it be? The answer. Amazing! Half the time, a fraction of the heat and possibly better than ever!

1egg, slightly beaten
-
1 Tbspworcestershire sauce
-
2 tspbeef soup base (or boullion)
-
1 cgravy
-
1 1/2 lb90% lean ground beef

How To Make meatloaf
-
1Whip egg, Worcestershire sauce, soup base gravy & pepper together in mixing bowl. NOTE: I had leftover chicken gravy that I used even though it was a "beef" recipe. It was wonderful so dont be afraid to use what you have even if it seems "wrong". How will you ever know what's good, bad or indifferent if you don't experiment?
-
2Mix in beef and corn flake crumbs
-
3Place in a glass loaf pan.
-
4FOR MICROWAVE: Cover loosely with plastic wrap. Cook @ 70% power for 22 minutes. Uncover and let stand for 5 minutes before serving. FOR THE OVEN: Bake uncovered @ 375° for 40-45 minutes.
- Last Step: Don't forget to share! Make all your friends drool by posting a picture of your finished recipe on your favorite social network. And don't forget to tag Just A Pinch and include #justapinchrecipes so we can see it too!
