I created this new meatloaf recipe with the taste of Doritos.

Ingredients For doritos meatloaf

  • 2 c
    crushed Doritos
  • 2 Tbsp
    margarine
  • 1
    vidalia sweet onion, peeled and sliced
  • 1 lg
    carrot, diced
  • 3
    banana peppers, chopped
  • 2 tsp
    crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 2
    egg whites
  • 2 Tbsp
    steak seasoning
  • 4 Tbsp
    processed cheese sauce
  • 8 oz
    extra sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

How To Make doritos meatloaf

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    Coat a 9x5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray. Add 1/2 cup crushed Doritos; mix well.

    Heat the margarine in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced vidalia onion, diced carrots and chopped banana peppers, saute for 6 minutes or until tender.

    Add 1/2 cup crushed Doritos and crushed red pepper flakes in a large ziplock bag. Transfer sauteed vegetables into the bag with the Doritos mixture; seal it and shake it. Set aside.

    In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, egg whites, steak seasoning, 1/2 cup crushed Doritos, cheese sauce, Doritos-vegetable mixture and shredded sharp cheddar cheese; mix together until blended.

    Press the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle the remaining crushed Doritos on top.

    Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing.
