My dads recipe for ground venison. You could also use canned venison or ground beef, turkey, or chicken.

Ingredients For venison hash

  • 1 lb
    ground venison
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 c
    chopped onions
  • 20 oz
    can of crushed tomatoes
  • 2 c
    peeled diced potatoes
  • 1 md
    green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 c
    celery diced
  • 1 can
    tomato soup
  • 1 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1 tsp
    cumin
  • 2 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make venison hash

  • 1
    Add oil to pan. Brown onions then add venison with salt and pepper. Cook until browned. Remove from pan
  • 2
    Add remaining ingredients except cheese to pan. Simmer until veggies are soft. Add meat and onions back to pan.

    Pour into casserole dish.

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees Bake mixture 1 hour. Top with cheese and bake until melted.
