My family prefers this over traditional meatloaf made with ground beef. I get requests for this and there is never any leftovers!

Ingredients For mouth watering turkey meatloaf

  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 3/4 c
    onion finely chopped
  • 1/4 c
    green pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 clove
    medium garlic, minced
  • 1/4 c
    low-fat shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 c
    seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1-1/2 tsp
    italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1
    egg lightly beaten
  • 1-1/4 lb
    ground turkey
  • TOPPING
  • 1/2 c
    ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    dried mustard

How To Make mouth watering turkey meatloaf

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    Saute onion, green pepper and garlic for 3 minutes. Cool.

    Combine onion mixture, cheese and all ingredients except turkey in a large bowl. Crumble turkey over onion mixture and stir until just blended.

    In greased 13 x 9 inch casserole dish shape into 2 small loaves and bake for 1 hour.

    Meanwhile, stir ketchup, brown sugar and mustard together and spread over top of meatloaves, or serve on the side.
