Everything one could want on a tostado but served in an eat-able Bowl. This version needs no cheese.

Ingredients For mexicali beef taco bowl

  • 1/2 pkg
    ground turkey
  • 1
    tortillas, flour
  • 1/2 sm
    red onion,sliced
  • 3/4 c
    mexican salsa
  • 3
    baby lettuce leaves
  • 3/4 c
    water
  • 1/4
    bell peppers

How To Make mexicali beef taco bowl

    Place tortilla in dry sm. cast iron skillet. Put into oven at 400 F. For 10-12 min, until golden brown, then turn oven off, leave tortilla in oven to thoroughly crisp until all ingredients are ready.

    Place ground turkey in pan on med. heat fry until almost done. Add sliced onion, cook 4-5 min. add water & salsa, cook until saucy. layer lettuce into bottom of crispy Tortilla Bowl, top w/ dollop of fresh salsa, & diced bell pepper, and serve. (Optional: sour cream and cheese unnecessary. Although diced fresh tomatoes are great!)
