Ingredients For bbq venison steak

  • 2 lb
    deer steak
  • 1/2 c
    onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 c
    cooking oil
  • 1 can
    tomato sauce
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1 1/2 c
    ketchup or substitute less tomato paste
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice or vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
    worchestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    mustard
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed

How To Make bbq venison steak

  • 1
    Saute onion in oil until tender. Mix in remaining ingredients; except brown sugar. Simmer for 20 minutes.

    Meanwhile, tenderize steak and brown in cast iron skillet.

    Place steak in baking dish, sprinkle with brown sugar and top with sauce. Cover baking dish with lid or foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
