Ingredients For the best shrimp creole

  • 1 lb
    cooked and cleaned shrimp
  • 4 slice
    bacon
  • 2 lg
    onions chopped small
  • 2 1/2 stalk
    celery chopped small
  • 2 can
    whole tomatoes (i use the 28 oz. size)
  • 1 can
    tomato paste
  • 1 tsp
    salt (or to taste)
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper (or to taste)
  • 2 - 3 dash
    red pepper (cayenne)
  • 1 clove
    finely chopped garlic
  • 2 Tbsp
    worchester sauce
  • 1 lg
    green pepper chopped small
  • 4 - 6 c
    steamed rice

How To Make the best shrimp creole

    Fry bacon crisp and drain.
  • 2
    Brown onions in bacon grease. Add other ingredients, except shrimp.
  • 3
    Cook slowly for 1 hour. Add bacon crumbled. Add shrimp and simmer until shrimp is cooked (careful that you don't over cook the shrimp).

    Serve over steamed rice.
