Ingredients For seared ahi tuna w red wine demi glace reduction

2ahi tuna filets

2 Tbspolive oil divided

2 Tbspbutter

1 tspgarlic powder

1 tsponion powder

1 tspsalt

1/2 tspground thyme

1/2 cdry red wine like cabernet sauvignon

1 cdemi glace or beef broth with 1 tbsp. beef bouillon

1 sprigfresh rosemary
How To Make seared ahi tuna w red wine demi glace reduction

1Take 1 tbsp. olive oil and mix with garlic powder, onion powder, salt and thyme. Rub all over tuna filets. Let sit 30 minutes

2Add the other tbsp olive oil to pan and add the butter. When pan is very hot sear the tuna steaks on each side. Cook until desired doneness. I like mine raw in the middle but warm.

3Remove from pan and let rest covered with foil. Pour red wine in pan and reduce by half. Add demi glace. Let reduce until a bit thickened.

4Pour over tuna and garnish with rosemary
