This is a casserole I make when my dads coming over. He and I are the seafood eaters in my family. He loves when I make this tasty casserole. Creamy, seafood goodness...so easy to put together too! Enjoy! My photos

Ingredients For savory crab and shrimp au gratin

1/2 lbmacaroni, cooked

3 Tbspbutter
-
1 lbcooked, shrimp - tails removed & cut in half

1 canor fresh ( 1 cup ) lump crab meat
-
1 - 10 ozcream of mushroom soup
-
1 cshredded, cheddar cheese, i used sharp
-
small cansliced mushrooms, drained or can use 1/2 pound fresh and saute
-
1 ccream
-
1 Tbspparsley, dried
-
1 Tbsplemon juice
-
1 1/2 tspcreole seasoning
-
1/2 tsppepper
-
1/2 tspsalt
- TOPPING
-
1 cseasoned bread crumbs

2 Tbspmelted butter
How To Make savory crab and shrimp au gratin

1Cook your macaroni as directed by instructions on the box. Drain and mix with 3 tablespoons of butter.

2In another bowl add soup, cheese, cream and mushrooms, stir to blend.

3Add the shrimp, and crab meat. Mix gently to keep from busting up the crab.

4Now the seasonings

5Now, blend the mixture with the macaroni.

6Spoon the mixture into a casserole dish, sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. ( I used a 10 inch deep dish pie plate ) fits perfectly. Preheat oven to 350 degree F.

7Melt your butter and mix with the crumbs. Spread evenly atop the pasta mixture. I sprinkled the top with a few shakes of paprika.

8Bake for 30 minutes or till golden and bubbly. This casserole is great, served with a Caesar salad.
