sweet and sour spareribs
My mom worked in a Chinese Restaurant when I was a little girl. This recipe was given to her by the chef. It's a family favorite and loved by many.

Ingredients For sweet and sour spareribs

2/3 cwater

1/2 cvinegar

1/4 cketchup

1 Tbspworcestershire sauce

fewdrops hot pepper sauce

1/4 tsppaprika

1/4 cbutter

2onions, chopped
-
2 clovegarlic cut in halves

5 lbspareribs cut 21/2 x 1 inches

6 Tbspbrown sugar
How To Make sweet and sour spareribs

1Combine water, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, paprika and brown sugar. Mix well.

2Melt butter in stock pot over medium-heat. Add garlic and onions. Saute until onions are tender. Add brown sugar mixture. Bring to boil then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

3Place ribs in shallow baking dish, cover with sauce. Bake uncovered at 400 degrees for 75 minutes, basting occasionally.
