Fazool is an Italian slang term for pasta, and meat cooked with fagioli which is Italian for beans. Nice dish tasty with a hint of heat.

Ingredients For pork fazool with pasta

  • 1/2 lb
    ground pork
  • 1/2 lb
    sweet italian sausage casing removed
  • 1 md
    onion diced
  • 4 clove
    garlic minced
  • /2 c
    dry white wine
  • 2 c
    chicken broth
  • 14 1/2 oz
    can italian tomatoes pureed
  • 15 oz
    can white beans drained
  • 1 tsp
    crushed fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp
    oregano
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1 c
    cook pasta of choice
  • freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 c
    chopped fresh curly parsley

How To Make pork fazool with pasta

    In large saucepan brown both pork and sausage with onions and garlic. Cook until done. Add white wine and let cook until almost evaporated.

    Add remaining ingredients except pasta, parmesan, and parsley. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer and cook on low 30 minutes.

    Add cooked pasta. Top with parmesan and garnish with parsley
