I call this Pork Basille after my British friend had me for lunch and this is what she made. I love this dish...

Ingredients For pork basile

  • 2 lb
    pork tenderloin cut in chunks
  • 3 lg
    oinions sliced
  • 1 lb
    sliced mushrooms (your choice)
  • 1 can
    french style green beans
  • 5
    carrots sliced
  • 2
    jalapeno peppers seeded and diced fine
  • 2
    bay leaves
  • 1 jar
    bertolli vodka sauce
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • wild rice, cooked

How To Make pork basile

  • 1
    Cube the pork and brown in a large Dutch oven with salt, pepper bay leaf. I use olive oil and about 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 2
    then add, sliced onions, carrots, green beans (drained) mushrooms and jalapeno. Sautee for about 15 minutes
  • 3
    Add Bertolli Vodka sauce stir. Add heavy cream. Taste for seasoning. Add more if needed. Let simmer for 3 hours or until pork is fork tender serve with brown rice and a hot roll
