Ingredients For italian pasta salad

1 lbpenne or bowtie pasta

3 Tbspolive oil, extra virgin

1 csliced red onion

3 tspgarlic, minced

2 tspitalian seasoning
-
1 candiced italian tomatoes
-
3 Tbspfresh basil, chiffonade
-
3 ozprosciutto, cut into thin strips

1 cfrozen peas, thawed
-
1/3 cgrated grana padano cheese
-
1/4 cpine nuts, toasted
How To Make italian pasta salad

1Cook pasts according to package directions.

2While pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large saute pan over medium-high heat. Add onions and garlic; saute 1 to 2 minutes. Add Italian seasoning and tomatoes; simmer 5 minutes. Drain pasta and add with the tomatoes to the seasonings in the pan. Stir to coat.

3Stir in basil, proscuitto and peas. Cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes just to heat through. Sprinkle with cheese and pine nuts. Serve immediately.
