How To Make ham balls in orange glaze
-
1Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with non stick cooking spray. Set aside In a bowl, add the ground ham, pork, onion, mustard, eggs, crackers, salt, pepper and milk - mix well.
-
2Make balls about the size of a golf ball and place in prepared dish. It's okay if touching.
-
3Place on oven for 30 minutes or until firm and browning some.
-
4While ham balls bake, make the glaze. In a dutch oven or large saucepan - mix brown sugar, mustard, cloves and cornstarch. Over medium heat, stir in the orange juice, whisk until well blended and continue cooking until sauce thickens.
-
5When ham balls are finished baking, drain if need be. Place in the sauce and simmer for 15 minutes.
-
6Serve hot. I've also prepared these ahead and kept warm for parties in crock pot on low setting.
