41"-thick bone-in pork chops

salt and pepper to taste

1onion, diced

2 tspolive oil

2 Tbspbutter

4 tspminced garlic

112 oz jar peach preserves
-
2 Tbsprice wine vinegar

1/2 tspred pepper flakes

1/2 tspchinese five spice powder

1/2 tspground ginger
-
cornstarch, to thicken

2lg peaches, sliced thin

rice

1/2 cketchup
-
2 Tbsplight soy sauce
How To Make glazed pork chops w/ peaches

1Season pork w/ salt and pepper. In lg skillet, heat oil over med-high heat. Cook chops 3 mins per side. Remove chops from pan.

2Add butter and onion to pan. Cook, stirring for 3 mins. Add garlic, cook 1 min. Add preserves, ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar, red pepper flakes, five spice powder and ginger.

3Put chops back in pan. Turn to coat, cover, simmer 15 mins. Remove chops to platter. Dissolve 1 tbsp cornstarch in 1/4 cup cold water, whisk well. Whisk into pan w/ sauce until thickened. Drizzle sauce over chops. Garnish w/ peach slices. Serve w/ rice.
