Ingredients For glazed pork chops w/ peaches

    1"-thick bone-in pork chops
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1
    onion, diced
  • 2 tsp
    olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 4 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 1
    12 oz jar peach preserves
  • 2 Tbsp
    rice wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp
    chinese five spice powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground ginger
  • cornstarch, to thicken
  • 2
    lg peaches, sliced thin
  • rice
  • 1/2 c
    ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp
    light soy sauce

How To Make glazed pork chops w/ peaches

    Season pork w/ salt and pepper. In lg skillet, heat oil over med-high heat. Cook chops 3 mins per side. Remove chops from pan.

    Add butter and onion to pan. Cook, stirring for 3 mins. Add garlic, cook 1 min. Add preserves, ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar, red pepper flakes, five spice powder and ginger.

    Put chops back in pan. Turn to coat, cover, simmer 15 mins. Remove chops to platter. Dissolve 1 tbsp cornstarch in 1/4 cup cold water, whisk well. Whisk into pan w/ sauce until thickened. Drizzle sauce over chops. Garnish w/ peach slices. Serve w/ rice.
