This is a casserole dish that was made for me by a dear friend.It is quick and easy.Often served in her Dutch household.

Ingredients For beligan endive and ham casserole

  • 6
    beligan endive
  • dash
    freshly grated nutmeg
  • 6 slice
    gruyere cheese or swiss, thinly sliced
  • 6 slice
    boars head pesto ham thinly sliced or your choice
  • 1 tsp
    butter for greasing baking dish
  • SERVE WITH POTATOES,RED CABBAGE AND CARROT MASHED WITH BUTTER & CREAM

How To Make beligan endive and ham casserole

    Par boil Beligan endive for 10 mins.
  • 2
    Drain endive, let cool until able to handle.
  • 3
    Wrap each Beligan endive first with ham and then with cheese.

    Place side by side in the buttered baking dish.
  • 5
    Dash a small amount of fresh grated nutmeg.
  • 6
    Cover and bake at 350 for 20-25 mins.Ucover the last 5 minutes.
