This is a slight variation of one of my Mom's recipes with a little taste of home from Oliverio's. This is always a family favorite and larger batches make for great leftovers and party dishes. All you desire in a comfort food on one plate.

Ingredients For turkey and peppers goulash

  • 20 oz
    ground turkey
  • 2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 2 tsp
    italian seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1 box
    pasta of your choice ( i prefer san giorgio trio italiano)
  • 11 1/2 oz
    v8 or tomato juice
  • 16 oz
    jar oliverio's italian peppers in sauce (i prefer medium but hot and sweet style are available)
  • 8 oz
    italian blend cheese

How To Make turkey and peppers goulash

  • 1
    Place olive oil, garlic and Italian seasoning in a 10 in pan Once heated, place ground turkey in pan and brown over medium heat until just done Drain off excess fat
  • 2
    Return turkey to stove and reduce heat Add V8/Tomato juice and Oliverio Peppers to ground turkey and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes

    Cook Pasta according to the directions on the package.

    In a separate bowl, sprinkle ½ of the Italian blend cheese Once pasta is done cooking, drain and then pour ½ of the pasta on top of the cheese. Pour ½ of the ground turkey mixture in on top of the pasta and cheese and mix Add second ½ of the cheese, pasta and ground turkey mixture to the bowl and mix until the cheese is melted and it is well mixed.
