Ingredients For one pot pasta with tomato-basil sauce

  • 12 oz
    pasta of choice
  • 1 can
    (28 oz.) diced tomatoes
  • 2 c
    chicken broth
  • 1/2 md
    yellow onion, sliced
  • 4 clove
    garlic, sliced
  • 1 tsp
    dried oregano
  • 1/3 c
    firmly packed fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 pkg
    (6 oz.) baby spinach
  • freshly grated parmesan cheese

How To Make one pot pasta with tomato-basil sauce

    Place the first nine ingredients in a Dutch oven in the order of ingredient list. Cover and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low, and cook, covered, 10 to 12 minutes or until pasta is slightly al dente, stirring every 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat and stir in spinach. Cover and let stand 10 minutes. Stir just before serving. Serve with Parmesan cheese.
