this is basically my fathers clam sauce recipe that I switched out the clams for italian sausage and added some sun dried tomatoes. It was delicious 8]

Ingredients For italian sausage dinner

2 lbbulk italian sausage browned and drained

1 lgonion diced

3 tspminced garlic

3 tspbasil, dried

2 tsporegano, dried

1 tspsalt

1/2 tsppepper

1/4 colive oil, extra virgin

4 ozsun dried tomato chopped

8 ozmushrooms, canned drained
-
1/2 cportabella mushrooms sliced
-
32 ozchicken broth
-
3 Tbspcornstarch mixed with 1/2 cup water

2bay leaves, dried
How To Make italian sausage dinner

1In a large skillet brown italian sausage, drain and set aside.

2In another skillet heat olive oil and add onion, garlic, basil, oregano, tomatoes,mushrooms, salt and pepper. saute until onions are translucent and mushrooms are tender.

3add chicken broth and bay leaves and simmer 5 to 10 minutes add italian sausage and simmer a few minutes, add the cornstarch and water and stir in and stir and continue to simmer until thickened

4serve over pasta of your choice with parmesan and some mozzarella cheese, and enjoy 8]
