turkey stroganoff

This recipe is from my 1976 Campbell Soup Cookbook. It's delicious, easy to make, and also another way to use up leftover cooked turkey.

Ingredients For turkey stroganoff

1/4 cupdiced, green bell peppers

1/4 cupchopped, onion
-
2 tablesp.butter or margarine
-
1 can(10-3/4 oz.) cream of mushroom soup

1/2 cupsour cream
-
1-1/2 cupscubed, cooked, turkey
-
1/2 teasp.paprika
-
2 cups(cooked) wide noodles
-
A fewcan sliced mushrooms, drained well (optional)

Additionalpaprika, to garnish casserole
How To Make turkey stroganoff

1In a saucepan, cook the green peppers and onions in butter, until tender.

2In a 1-1/2 quart casserole baking dish, blend the soup and sour cream together.

3Stir in the cooked turkey, 1/2 teaspoon of paprika, the cooked noodles, and a few slices of mushrooms from a can.

4Cover, and bake for 35 minutes in a 350 degree oven, or until casserole is hot.

5Remove baking dish from the oven, and stir.

6Sprinkle on additional paprika before serving.
