Ingredients For garbanzo stew

  • 2 can
    garbanzo beans/drained
  • 1
    spanish chorizo/sliced thin
  • 1/2 lb
    ham/cut into cubes
  • 1/2 c
    onion
  • 1/2
    bell pepper
  • 1/2 jar
    red pimentos
  • 3
    garlic cloves/smashed
  • 1 lg
    can fire roasted tomatoes
  • 1 c
    dry cooking wine
  • salt/pepper
  • pinch
    red pepper flakes ( optional)
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1/2 c
    green olives
  • 1 sprig
    cilantro
  • 1 sprig
    parsley

How To Make garbanzo stew

    slice the chorizo and cube the ham ( cooking ham, not sweet)chop the onions, peppers and garlic.

    In a large skillet with olive oil saute everything together...drain the garbanzo beans ( soaked in water and salt) and rinse well.

    add to the skillet and combine...add the can of tomatoes and wine.
  • 4
    add salt and pepper to taste, add in the olives, cilantro and parsely...simmer on low for at least 30 mins, serve with rice.
